We are prone to under-appreciation of the ones around us that we love. It is so easy to forget how quickly things can change permanently.

I’m so grateful for the way things have turned out. Last night I could have lost my brother for good if just one tiny little detail was changed. He was ejected from the car after swerving from a deer. He wasn’t wearing his seatbelt, and if he was, he would have been crushed along with the entire drivers side of his car as it rolled. We’re all definitely lucky to still have him around.

Make sure you let the ones you care about know that you love them and appreciate them simply for who they are, cause they could be gone so quickly.
